Biography

Rino Mioc is a Croatian-Canadian independent filmmaker and producer based in Calgary, Alberta, with a focus on telling intimate, character-driven stories that often explore identity, queerness, folklore, and sometimes even the supernatural. His work tends to draw from lived experience, cultural heritage, and community while blending realism with the surreal. Rino has received numerous grants and awards for his work, but also prioritizes supporting other artists through his company Tapped Potential Films.
