The large dam works on Amager's west coast are shown as an example of the employment measures the state initiated during the war. An area which made Amager 1/3 larger was dammed. 700,000 tipper trucks on the seabed must be emptied. At the same time, a new channel was dug for Copenhagen's South Harbour.
